Chaos will soon be unleashed at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood with the release of CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR which will have a special engagement from May 6-22.
All guests who see the movie get access to an exclusive display, ‘The Road to Civil War,’ which features movie costumes, props, stills, footage, concept art, and comic art.
There are two special unique opportunities to see the film as well as the movie. The first is an already sold out ultimate Captain America Marathon presented by NERDIST on May 5th. Attendees will see CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER followed by THE AVENGERS, CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER and AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON. It all culminates with a screening of CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR that evening at 7:00 p.m.
Also on May 5th, El Capitan guests will have the opportunity to see CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR at a special opening-night screening at 10:50 p.m. with costume contest, raffle prizes and more. On Friday and Saturday, guests over 21 can enjoy the movie with beer or wine of their choice.
CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR is the next chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it lands in theaters nationwide on May 6th.

Captain America: Civil War ” at El Capitan Theatre – May 6-May 22
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (March 29, 2016) – Hollywood’s legendary El Capitan Theatre presents a special engagement of Marvel’s highly anticipated CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR May 6 – May 22, 2016, in Dolby Atmos®. On May 5, El Capitan guests will have the opportunity to see CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR at a special opening-night screening at 10:50 p.m. with costume contest, raffle prizes and more.
The El Capitan will also offer a special Limited-Edition VIP Comic Book ticket (while supplies last), which includes a preferred seat, souvenir popcorn tub, 20 oz. drink and a variant cover exclusive to the El Capitan Theatre. Guests over 21 may also choose to enjoy the VIP Nightcap Ticket, which is only available for the 7:00 p.m. and 10:50 p.m.shows on Fridays and Saturdays. This must be purchased in advance, and includes a preferred seat, popcorn in a souvenir tub and one beer or wine of your choice.
To usher in El Capitan’s special engagement of CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, Nerdist will present THE ULTIMATE CAPTAIN AMERICA MARATHON, on Thursday May 5. The marathon will start with CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER (2011) at 7:00 a.m., followed by THE AVENGERS (2012), CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER (2014) and AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON (2015). This sold-out event will culminate in a screening of CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR that evening at 7:00 p.m.
Attendees who see all five films will receive an exclusive medallion. Meals and snacks are provided, plus fun raffles and giveaways between films.
