If you haven’t seen BIG HERO 6 yet (what’s wrong with you if you haven’t, it’s awesome) then you’ll want to try to head to the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood to initiate yourself now through December 21.
We were invited to check out the engagement at the historic movie place this weekend and we got to to see a first-hand look at the great new laser show that happens before every screening. It features a live-appearance by the film’s cuddly robot start Baymax. Trust me, you’ll love him.
The show itself brings the theatre to life in a classic laser show that pairs some appropriately heavy music, smoke machines, lasers and lights for a fun pre-show that undoubtedly knocks the socks out of anything you’ll get at your local mall cineplex.
Plus, if you want the chance to meet Baymax yourself, you can enjoy a special character-greet breakfast and receive a commemorative photo with Baymax before the 10 a.m. movie on select days. Reservations are required (1-800-DISNEY6).
We went on Friday November 28, 2014 which just so happened to be the first screening of the STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS trailer. The Studio Store next door was well equipped to satiate the nerds such as myself with merchandise. Of course, there was also a large selection of BIG HERO 6 merchandise too…
Prior to the screening, there was a giveaway of passes to the upcoming STAR WARS CELEBRATION taking place in Anaheim early next year.
