The digital and physical home release promise several bonus features including deleted scenes, bloopers, a behind-the-scenes look at recreating the classic animated film, and sneak peeks of hidden extra touches crafted by the filmmakers. A special edition SteelBook version includes custom artwork inside and out spotlighting heartfelt moments between Lilo and her mischievous best friend.

This home release brings home one of the more charming animation-to-live-action animation reboots. As with all of these recent treatments of bringing animated classics to the live action screen, opinions are as varied as the oceans are vast. While not a perfect adaptation, the film soars well on its own and this home release brings a small but good collection of peeks into the making of the film. While I long for the expanse and breadth of the original animated film’s DVD releases we still get a fun assortment of the infectious cast in featurettes comprise of behind-the-scenes footage as well as interview junkets plus the always-necessary blooper reels. Deleted scenes and making-of pieces round out the assortment including a fun roundup of clips narrated with voice over of Stitch watching and reacting to scenes from the film.
