It was an absolutely bananas evening filled with live music, fans in cosplay and a thumping vibe at the Parq Nightclub for the Ready Party One 2025 SDCC Kick Off Party! The San Diego Comic-Con 2025 event officially begins Thursday, July 24 and this party was one heck of a way to get things started.
Here’s everything we got to see at the Ready Party One 2025 SDCC Kick Off Party during San Diego Comic-Con 2025.
Stepping into the Ontologically Anthropocentric Sensory Immersive Simulation (or OASIS for short) we enjoyed live entertainment including the headlining band the Flux Capacitors (who we first encountered this year at Universal Fan Fest Nights) strumming up their irreverent charm with a retro-fired setlist that included familiar tunes from Back to the Future (obviously), Super Mario, Power Rangers, Ghostbusters, and more. This group’s energy is infectious and they had the whole place absolutely electriified.
Although we personally had our evening cut short due to personal reasons, there was still a bunch more surprises on hand for attendees including a performance by Walter Emanuel Jones (who many fans remember as the Black Ranger on the original Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers). Plus, Clive Farrington from When In Rome brought the iconic song “The Promise” to back to life and then Gerard MacMann sang “Cry Little Sister” from THE LOST BOYS. Plus, in-between sets of the Flux Capacitors there were DJ guests — including Efren Ramirez (VOTE FOR PEDRO) — who blasted even more bangers from the ’80s, ’90s, and 2000s.
Aside from all the cosplay, there was photo-ops and even complimentary temporary tattoo air brushing — a fully-fan-infused festival to kick off a most nerdtastic weekend.
