The Knott’s Boysenberry Festival is officially back once again with berry special assortment of food and drinks celebrating the park’s most famous berry. We got ourselves a Tasting Card for a sample of everything the event has to offer.
We tried several options this year and invite you now for a first taste of the food and drink available for the 2025 Knott’s Boysenberry Festival!
Tasting Card
The 2025 Knott’s Boysenberry Festival Tasting Card is available to ALL guests which means you have the opportunity to taste your way through SIX different dishes and beverage options from participating booths and locations. Unlike Disneyland, your Tasting Card CAN be used for alcoholic options. NOTE: The image shown here is the Tasting Card for a previous year.
Prices
- 6-coupon Regular ($55)
- 6-coupon Annual Pass ($45)
- Must be purchased online until March 30
Value Alert
To get the most bang for your buck out of the 6-redemption passport, you’ll just want to make sure you don’t get any of the items that cost less than $9.17 (regular) or $7.5 (annual pass). Considering the a la carte prices, that shouldn’t be terribly difficult as long as you avoid desserts and non-alcoholic drinks!

- FOOD HOURS: Various locations may have different operating hours. Also, not all locations may be open during the week.

What We Tried
Boysenberry BBQ Beef Tips
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Boysenberry BBQ Beef Tips over Mashed Potatoes garnished with Green Onions was one of our favorites of what we tried for this year’s festival. The meat was tender and the smokiness paired well with the sweetness of the sauce, complemented by the buttery potatoes. Top marks!

Boysenberry Honey Garlic Chicken Wings
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️⚫⚫
Boysenberry Honey Garlic Chicken Wings are an update on a Boysenberry Festival classic. The festival wings are usually a boysenberry dream but this year the garlic does little to add to the flavor and the wings overall were a bit more mushy than we were expecting. Tastes decent, though.

Boysenberry Infused Chili Verde over Spanish Rice
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️⚫⚫
Boysenberry Infused Chili Verde over Spanish rice was not a bad dish we just didn’t walk away clamoring for more. It’s definitely a unique one with a spicy savory sauce that’s also a bit sweet. It’s not a bad pairing but we were distracted by the mushy rice making this one an easy skip.

Stuffed Boysenberry Pie Cookie
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Stuffed Boysenberry Pie Cookie is such a wonderful desert. The only downside to this absolutely delicious cookie is the price tag. It’s hard to say any cookie is worth over $10 and while this one is fantastic, that price tag is certainly the hardest part to chew on.
- WHERE: Ghost Town Bakery
Boysenberry BBQ Short Rib Lasagna
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️⚫
Boysenberry BBQ Short Rib Lasagna is a nice solid dish of a heaping slap of lasagna. We didn’t taste much boysenberry in the dish itself as much as we did from the drizzle on top. The definite presence of boysenberry was felt though from the trademark grit of the berry’s seeds.
- WHERE: Mrs. Murphy’s
Boysenberry Grits with Cajun Shrimp
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️⚫⚫
Creamy Boysenberry Grits with Cajun Shrimp is a variation of a dish the festival has featured before and it’s not nearly as good. This dish isn’t bad but the grits were a bit more gritty with boysenberry seeds. The shrimp are very well seasoned and overall its a pleasant dish… just not a must-have.
- WHERE: Wilderness Dance Hall
Boysenberry Glaze Salmon Bites
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️⚫⚫
Salmon Bites in a Boysenberry Glaze over Greens was not a bad salad it was just very boring. Aside from the greens, we had some cherry tomatoes and that was it other than the salmon. The seasoning itself on the salmon was great. Very flavorful a hint of the boysenberry that comes through stronger from the best part of this dish which is the salad dressing. Unfortunately, our salmon was dry and over-cooked.

Double Stuffed Baked Potato
RATING: ☀️☀️⚫⚫⚫
Double Stuffed Baked Potato with boysenberry BBQ pulled pork and jalapeño chips is a dish we’ve tried in previous years and we found it to be a disappointing offering. The baked potato is cut in half, a scoop of mashed potatoes slathered on and then a hefty portion of pulled pork is applied on top. It’s not bad but it’s an easy skip. The only difference this year seems to be the jalapeño sprinkled on top.

Boysenberry Dippin’ Dots
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Boysenberry Dippin’ Dots are a Knott’s Berry Farm classic. We’ve had these in previous years and found them to be absolutely tasty and satisfying. The berry burst from the signature little beads of flavor are a great pairing.
