Two new smaller scale projection shows are coming to Happiest Place on Earth as part of the Disneyland 70th Anniversary with the confirmation of new offerings shown on the facades of both it’s a small world at Disneyland and the Carthay Circle Restaurant at Disney California Adventure.

Here’s what we know about the new projection shows coming to the Disneyland Resort for the Disneyland 70th Anniversary.

What to Expect

  • In the evenings at California Adventure, the exterior of Carthay Circle Restaurant will invite everyone to “celebrate happy” during a special moment filled with music, lights and projection effects.
  • At Disneyland, the facade of “it’s a small world” will also get a new projection show.
  • An upbeat new theme song is being created in honor of the anniversary, “Celebrate Happy,” it is expected to be heard throughout the Resort and in various entertainment offerings.

Neither location is a stranger to projection mapping although this would mark the first time an official show is being presented on the exterior facade of Carthay Circle Theater. The building does feature projections every year during the Oogie Boogie Bash after-hour upcharge parties and during the holiday season, “it’s a small world” Holiday also features projection shows several times per evening.
