Room Tour

Before we take a closer look at everything included, enjoy this room tour video below taking a closer look at Room 628 at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel.

What’s Included

The Duo Studios feature a theme of THE JUNGLE BOOK. The accommodation is specifically designed for two people and is a first-of-its-kind for Disney Vacation Club. It features a compact layout with fold out bed, kitchenette, and bathroom. This room type may sleep up to 2 guests — cribs and high chairs may be available upon request.

20231125_095717As some of the cheapest offerings in the portfolio for this property, the Duo Studios are going to appeal most to the Disneylanding couple without kids who are gonna rope-drop in the morning and close out the night once the gates close. There’s hardly any room to really entertain any guests unless possibly you are in one of the Duo Studios with a balcony. Also, while no one wants to work while on vacation, you’d be hard pressed to be very productive in here as there’s no desk or even a table in this room.

Bed and Common Area

The Duo Studio maximizes an efficient use of layout to pack function into the small space. The room features a queen-size pull-down bed that can be folded away to reveal a sofa, a 55″ flat screen-TV, and a closet with an iron, spare pillows, and blanket. The large dresser serves as both storage for the room and also houses a wall safe plus amenities for a quasi-kitchenette. The bathroom includes a walk-in shower and, of course, a hair dryer. Disney rooms tend to have the toilet behind a separate door but these accommodations do not offer this feature.

The theme of THE JUNGLE BOOK is evident throughout the space including an area rug with jungle motif and the lyric “The Bare Necessities of Life Will Come To You” heard sung in the film. The jungle motif carries through into design elements in the closet and on the curtains as well as in the bathroom where you can see light-up jungle vines on the mirror. Artwork on the walls features concept art and sketches from the film. There is a relief on the wall behind the television evoking some of the Indian architecture also seen in the film.

Kitchenette

There is no dedicated kitchenette space in this room type but you will still find a mini refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. The only sink in the room is in the bathroom. You’ll also find additional accoutrement that includes proper dishes, glasses, and eating utensils, can and bottle opener, corkscrew, and ice bucket. Although they are not in the room, you can also request a blender, mop, broom, and dustpan.

If microwaved leftovers are not on your docket, a room service menu is available and includes a variety of options including a *gulp* $75 steak and shrimp dinner.

The View

Duo Studios are available in three main types. Preferred View (of either the Palette Pool or the Monorail Pool and surrounding areas); Standard View (gardens, street, or parking areas); and Duo Studio Garden (these are are separate from the main tower and feature easy access to the pool with either a patio or a balcony.) You can see the view here is not terribly exciting with some boring rooftops and hotel facilities in view along with an admin Disneyland facility building and some of the local neighborhood at the Resort’s perimeter..

The Electrical Outlets and USBs

We found no less than 9 available wall outlets that were not in use and we actually think we might have even missed a few. In addition, there were 3 USB-A ports and 3 USB Type C ports making for 15 different ways to power up your tech in this Duo Studio.
