We’re not even into the dog days of summer and we’re already looking ahead to a busy Halloween Time season at the Disneyland Resort which — if a recent social media ad is any indication — is getting a little bit of a reinvigoration this year at Mickey’s Toontown.
Nothing specifically has been announced but the imagery shown in an ad posted to TikTok seems to showcase Minnie’s House at Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland with festive jack-0-lanterns, fall leaves, and an eery green glow coming from the windows while a mysterious green smoke billows from the chimney. Adorable bat decorations can be seen on her fence and near her front door.
It’s not uncommon for Disney to enhance details in the parks for promotional purposes. For instances, sometimes advertisements during the holidays may show snow in areas of the park that do not actually have Disney’s famous faux snowfall. This new image could be very likely just be part of Disney marketing department having some spooky kooky fun to promote the upcoming season.
Still, the new promo could be an early peek at a much-needed and long overdue re-investment into the fall season at the Happiest Place on Earth which is one of Disney’s busiest times of the year — surpassing or closely matching the crowds seen during the Disney Holiday season around Christmastime.
Disney officially announced their lineup for the 2024 Halloween season late in June and while there were some slight updates (namely, a show that was formerly exclusive to Oogie Boogie Bash becoming part of the regular daytime lineup and that Haunted Mansion will be featuring a virtual queue as construction continues on its outdoor queue expansion) the roster was mostly a lot of the same that’s been seen year after year for quite some time. Mickey’s Toontown reopened last year after an extended closure that revamped many areas around the land in anticipation of the arrival of the popular Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
