We had the chance to check out the newly opened Thirty Acres Kitchen restaurant at the Knott’s Hotel. Although technically still in soft open for now, the official lodging destination for Knott’s Berry Farm is expected to wrap up its expansive hotel-wide refresh this spring.
This guide will arm you with everything you need to know about dining at Thirty Acres Kitchen.
The Location
Described by Knott’s as “modern farmhouse-style,” the new restaurant expands on the western chic vibe that was developed for the lobby — a tribute to both Walter and Cordelia Knott and the legacy they built together. The restaurant is an open concept giving it a modern airy feeling grounded by its warm hewn details. The restaurant is accessible from the Knott’s Hotel lobby and is bridged by a bar which itself is connected to a Starbucks location called The Pantry.
The name of the restaurant is an homage to the original thirty acres of land that the Knott’s family owned for their little berry farm and fried chicken operation.
For now, the parking is complementary although this will change once the hotel renovation is complete. It’s expected that the location will offer parking validation for those who dine at the restaurant.
The Food and Drink
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served with unique offerings at each meal. Breakfast includes a buffet, lunch features hot sandwiches, and dinner offers steaks and other classics. The bar menu includes beers, wines, and cocktails infused with boysenberry flavors — plus happy hour specials!

The Pantry
The Pantry offers Starbucks beverages as well as grab-and-go food items. It has separate hours from the bar and restaurant that it’s connected to.
The Bar
Belly-up to the well-appointed bar and find something to eat or drink at this casual watering hole with both counter-top and loungey seating. You can enjoy the bar from two sides, inside the restaurant or from the lobby. It has separate hours from the bar and restaurant that it’s connected to.
Main Dining Room
There’s a few different sections including a row of booths and tables near the bar, a wide open dining area, plus an outdoor patio. As of our visit on February 17, 2024, the outdoor patio was not yet ready.
The lanterns on the table have an actual flame. It’s such a SMALL detail but honestly, A+.
